We are very proud that ESSDA will grant for the first time ever the official "EUROPEAN SAME-SEX DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS" titles in all A-Levels & Open Categories!!!

There is a venue for practice in Cultura for all days (Monday to Saturday; for details see below). There is also a small second dancefloor at the venue for warming up.

The ballroom (AHOY) dancefloor will only be available from Thursday (so not on Wednesday) for the competition.

The competitions will follow the ESSDA rules:
- 2 classification rounds will be danced
- a direct final if less then 7 couples
- no upgrading for Gold medals (because of timing)
- no open marks

For all ESSDA members: If you did pay your membershipfee (€ 10) for ESSDA, you will get a reduction on your registration for EuroGames Same-Sex Dancing. Add ESSDA as memberclub for registration when you fill in the application form.

Ballroom Dancing

EuroGames Rotterdam 2011

For 3 days in a row ballroom and latin dancing will again characterize the EuroGames. Each and every year this sport gains popularity and for good reason!

The level of dancing at the various dance competitions is very high and still increases each year. It is a delight to witness the dance battle with its different dance styles. Beginners as well as advanced dancers compete in all dance categories for the title of European Champion. Of course always encouraged by enthusiastic spectators!

NEW this year are the titles in the Open and A-levels of the European Championship Same Sex Dancing!

The combination of sportsmanship, beauty, flow and rhythm makes it a great happening for its spectators. In addition you will get the opportunity to get down on the dance floor yourself.

Grand Ball

The dance competition will traditionally be closed with a stylish Grand Ball on Saturday night the 23rd of July. The showdance couples and groups will compete for the title of European Champion. On top of that all gold medal winners of the past three days will give a dance demonstration. All in all a night to enjoy the creme de la creme of same sex dancing. Of course you will also get the chance to get down on the dance floor yourself.

Auspices ESSDA

The different dance competitions in Latin American, Standard, 10 dance and show dance are being organized under the auspices of ESSDA, the European Same Sex Dance Association. The dance competitions will be judged by at least 7 international members of the jury.

Entrance tickets

Spectators can choose from a:

• 1-day pass of € 12,50

• 3-day pass of € 30,00

The above mentioned passes do not give access to the Grand Ball.

The Grand Ball offers 2 possibilities:

• Grand Ball € 25,00 (grandstand seat)

• Grand Ball VIP € 40,00 (seat at one of the tables next to the dance floor)

It goes without saying that showdance couples and groups as well as gold medal winners don’t have to buy entrance tickets for the Grand Ball.

Dear dancers,

You can register for the EuroGames Rotterdam 2011 same-sex dancing event on reduced rates (€ 100 for ESSDA members instead of € 120) until May 31st. After this date the price will go up for late registration. More than 230 dancers have already entered the competition in different levels and styles.

Unser 13. Tanzturnier in Bielefeld ist auch im kommenden Jahr ein ganz besonderer Anlass, um für euch am 26. März 2011 wieder ein großes Tanzturnier mit einem schönen Festball für Frauen- und Männerpaare auszurichten.

Es sind wieder 7 Top-Wertungsrichter/Innen eingeladen, die Eure Leistungen qualifiziert beurteilen werden.
