ESSDA establishes a new committee:

Outreach Committee

The aims of the OUTREACH COMMITTEE are the following:

1 To establish links between ESSDA and those European countries which are still developing s-s dancing and that do not have a national representative body;

2 To encourage cross-communication and exchange of ideas;

3 To develop strategies to raise the profile of s-s competitive dancing in those countries where s-s competitive dancing is a new sport;

4 To find creative ways of bringing more social dancers to the competitive dance floor.

ESSDA supports the "One Games Campaign"

Following a motion of the AGM 2009 the ESSDA board sends an email to FGG and GLISA:

"... We are writing to you in relation to a motion proposed and unanimously voted at ESSDA’s AGM that relates to FGG and GLISA. Namely, the membership of ESSDA were asked to support a motion to communicate both to GLISA and to the FGG that same-sex competitive dancers prefer one large, well attended sporting event for the LGBT community rather than two or more and that the ESSDA membership encourages the ongoing dialogue between FGG and GLISA to achieve this result. ..."
